Finest Member Event Ever Coming to The Greenbrier Resort Sept. 17-20
The upcoming CJP Association Convention promises to be the best one ever, as members of the Citation Jet Pilots community and others with an appreciation for Cessna’s finest aircraft make their plans to come to The Greenbrier resort in White Sulphur Springs, West Virginia on September 17-20.
CJP Secretary David Miller, who along with CJP President Mark Aloe is organizing this year’s Convention, reports that advance registration levels have surpassed expectations, signifying what will likely be the largest-attended event in CJP history.
“This year’s Convention is all about MORE,” Miller added. “More content. More educational sessions. More one-of-a-kind items and prizes available through our silent auction, many of which are Citation-themed. And, perhaps the most important MORE of all: more incredible opportunities for Citation owners and enthusiasts to learn more about these impressive aircraft.”
That includes a large static aircraft display, featuring not only new airplanes from Cessna Aircraft Company, but also – for the first time – the opportunity for owners to “Show Me Your Citation” and review and discuss operational costs and performance factors with attendees.
Over four days, attendees will be able to enjoy the many amenities throughout the Greenbrier’s 10,000 acres, including five championship golf courses. Convenient, “fly-in” access is available at Greenbrier Valley Airport (KLWB) in nearby Lewisburg, a short 15-minute drive from the resort and offering a wide 7,000 foot runway.
Of course, a range of notable and distinguished speakers and presenters is a hallmark of all CJP Conventions, and this year’s lineup continues that tradition. Throughout the Convention, a host of industry veterans and experienced pilots will conduct a robust slate of safety sessions and featured presentations, including the event’s keynote address by Textron Chairman, President and CEO Scott C. Donnelly.
In addition, this year’s Convention will feature golf legend and noted Citation pilot and aficionado Arnold Palmer accepting the Hall of Fame Award, as well as the official introduction of CJP’s new Executive Director, Col. Jon “Huggy” Huggins (left) to Members.
“Above all, the Convention represents a tremendous venue where our Members can meet, laugh, learn, and share their experiences and their airplanes,” Miller concluded. “Whether you’re a first-time Citation owner or operator, or a seasoned veteran pilot with thousands of hours in the cockpit, the CJP Association Convention offers the valuable opportunity for seasoned veterans and first-time operators alike to sit down, compare notes, and talk with the best sources of real information about the Citation line – those who are actually operating the airplane.”
Time is running out to register for this year’s Convention, however! Additional information is available from the 2014 CJP Convention Guide.
