The robust G1000 NXi combines brighter, smoother high-resolution displays with faster graphics rendering. It offers split-screen capability on the multifunction display (MFD) — allowing for 2 or more separate page views to be displayed simultaneously — to give you access to more valuable decision-making information at a glance.

G1000 NXi incorporates the latest SurfaceWatch™ runway identification/alerting technology, which provides visual and aural cues. This helps pilots avoid takeoffs or landings on a taxiway, on a runway that is too short or on the wrong runway, based on flight plan data entered during a preflight.

You’ll get Visual Approach capability for enhanced guidance in visual flight conditions, based on a 3-degree glideslope from the threshold of the runway. You can select the runway that you’ve been cleared to, set customized minimums, select vectors or straight-in for the final approach intercept and fly a Visual Approach coupled with the autopilot.

garmin3With our Connext® connectivity via the included Flight Stream 510 wireless gateway, you can turn your mobile device running the Garmin Pilot app into a true cockpit interface. You’ll enable Database Concierge wireless database updates and flight plan transfers to your G1000 NXi. And you can stream weather, traffic, GPS information, back-up attitude information and more to your mobile display running Garmin Pilot, FltPlan Go or ForeFlight Mobile apps.

To help remind the pilot which frequency is tuned, Comm frequency identification displays the station ID as well as frequency type.garmin4

Pilots can display NEXRAD on the HSI map while utilizing the MFD for charts or other tasks.

Vertical Situation Display provides a pilot with a reference of their aircraft position profile as it relates to surrounding terrain, the active flight plan, altitude constraints and winds aloft.
