By CJP Director Kirk Samuelson

My wife, Rebecca, was born in March 1958… so, she can claim part of it. “K” is for Kirk, but there’s still another reason why I selected this tail.

Back when I managed the flight department for Kiewit, they had nine aircraft numbered 332K through 357K – so I figured I needed a higher number for my personal plane! (Just as a joke to the CEO.)

Do you have an interesting story about how you selected your ‘N’ number? Share your “tails” with CJP and you may be featured in an upcoming issue of Flight Levels! Please send a photograph highlighting your N-number and a brief explanation to huggy@citationjetpilots.com.
